[PC-BSD Translations] looking for Handbook translators

Awesome! I forgot all about translating the handbook. I guess its
because we are working hard the main wiki. Mmmm... maybe we should
make a standard or code/symbols to specify things in the handbook. For
example at the end of each article in the handbook if not done, the
symbol [WIP] is place. I can't think of any others, but I know there
are many. But I'll make sure I email Josh to add me to the translation
group in the wiki.

If you?re interested in becoming a translator for the Handbook, please Josh so that your wiki logon can be added to the translators group. This is the first time we?ve used this feature on mediawiki so if you have experience using this feature we?d love to hear from you as you can help us reduce our learning curve and streamline the process for translating pages. It may be useful to hang out on #pcbsd on IRC freenode for the first bit as we figure out how to get translations started and can have conversations in real time. We can then send an email to this list on what we've learned to make getting started easier for new translators.

The first translations will definitely gtake the longest as up to this point nothing has been translated. I've been working steadily on updating the English version of the wiki since August and the goal is to have the Handbook in a mostly "frozen" state by Christmas and to release a PDF and HTML version of the Handbook with the 8.2 release. The wiki is to be considered the "development branch" (e.g. CURRENT, HEAD) of the Handbook with a "release cut" of the Handbook published with each version of PC-BSD. In theory, this means that after a release the content on the wiki only needs to be changed to reflect changes and new features in the next upcoming release. In theory, this will reduce the amount of time needed to tend and tran
