Comment:

 I just found a bug in the GUI where trying to remove the "Default" BE
 fails silently (not to be confused with the BE named "default") and can
 mess up the beadm/grub sync. I just fixed this a moment ago in source so
 it will stop the user from doing that[1]. There really is nothing special
 about the BE named "default" - that is just the name that the PC-BSD
 installer uses when creating the initial post-install BE.
