Comment (by kris):

 Can you remove /usr/bin/chrome? It should be using /usr/local/bin/chrome.

 Also, send output of "pkg info | grep chromium"

 I'm using chromium-35.0.1916.114 on EDGE and it works just fine.

 Try removing your user-profile also ~/.config/chromium

 If you have a bad extension in there it can cause segfaults.
