#944: Bugs in wireless WEP mode
 Reporter: NaomasaMaruyama | Owner:
Type: System Defect | Status: new
 Priority: major | Milestone:
Component: Network Manager | Version: 9.1-RELEASE
 Keywords: WEP Hex key,index |
When using WEP mode and setting 10 digit hex key by Network manager, I
never succeed in getting dhcp address. Checking with ifconfig, I see the
key is set to be 104 bits, which should be 40 bits for 10 digit hex wep

Another strange behavior of the Network manager for WEP mode is treatment
of key index. Setting my wireless station to be WEP mode of key index
other than 1 and using Network manager, I sometimes succeed in getting
dhcp address but mostly fail. Anyway the key index setting is NOT saved
by the Network manager, and returns to the default value after reboot.

 I checked these phenomena on PCBSD9.1(03-06-2013 amd64, i386). I don't
know whether they are resolved in PCBSD9.2.
