#786: java web start in openjdk7 does not work
--------------------------------+----------------------------
  Reporter:  tinca              |      Owner:
      Type: PBI Packaging Bug | Status: closed
  Priority:  minor              |  Milestone:
 Component:  Misc               |    Version:  9.2-RELEASE
Resolution: 3rdpartybug | Keywords: java web start
--------------------------------+----------------------------
Changes (by kenmoore):

 * status:  new => closed
 * resolution:   => 3rdpartybug

Comment:

 It looks like that part of the application might have hard-coded paths to
 search for libraries, since the other binaries can properly see the
 existing libjava.so in the PBI, and it does not seem to be respecting the
 "JAVA_HOME" environment variable as the other binaries do.
 This might be corrected with the 10.x PBI format (still in initial
 testing) because it respects the standard "/usr/local" prefix instead of
 the specialized "/usr/pbi/<pbi>" prefix.

 In the meantime, you might be better off to install openJDK7 as a
 package/port.
