Comment:

 This should be fixed in 9.0. Note that the NVIDIA driver is no longer part
 of the base, but should be installed either in the Meta Package selection
 screen of the installer or using Control Panel -> System Manager -> System
 Packages -> Hardware Drivers post-installation.
