Comment:

 I've just downloaded opera from AppCafe here, and it detects flash just
 fine. In about:plugins:

 /usr/local/lib/npapi/symlinks/linux-opera/libflashplayer.so


 Konq also seems to work, after going to settings -> configure konq ->
 plugins -> plugins -> scan

 Looks like it just doesn't pick it up on the initial startup, until it
 scans for new plugins.
