Ok, hold up there :)
So, if you boot the system, and run (#mount /dev/ad0s2a /mnt), cd over to
/mnt/boot and do a listing. Is that folder completely empty?
If you run "df -h" with that partition mounted, does it show 2GB as the
size properly? I'm wondering if we ran out of room, which is one of the
only reasons why /boot would be empty. The extraction didn't return a
failure though, which it should do if we run out of space on a partition.
