#288: Wireless Network Configuration
-----------------------------------------------------+----------------------
Reporter: DangerouslyPassive | Owner:
Type: System Defect | Status: new
Priority: minor | Milestone: 8.0
Component: System Tool | Version: 8.0
Keywords: Wireless Network Configuration Ellipsis |
-----------------------------------------------------+----------------------
When adding a wireless network to the network list, if the SSID is too
long, it is truncated in the list and an ellipsis is added. This will not
let you connect properly.
Sorry, i'm new to BSD and don't know the terms to better explain it.
Basically, when i scanned for a network using the utility, my network came
up, but the SSID is longer than the field. So when added to the list of
networks, it was added with an ellipsis. This confused the hell out of me
for the longest time. I'm sure there's a simple fix to this in the
utility. It worked after i edited it in the list and put the full name.
