Comment:

 Looks like the "nv" driver doesn't like your Quadro in this case. However,
 I did find a bug in our startup when it tries to copy the fail-safe vesa
 configuration over.

 When you get to the test mode, can you check something? Go to utilities,
 then drop to the shell, and run these commands:

 # cp /root/cardDetect/XF86Config.compat /etc/X11/xorg.conf
 # startx

 What error does xorg exit with?
