 Is it failing when it tries to mount the disk during the bootup process?

 Also, we saw another laptop with this issue on 8.0. In the BIOS they had
 to switch a setting for SATA / IDE from "enhanced" to "standard" to make
 it work. Do you have anything similar in your BIOS?
