 Kris, was the problem caused by several kde4init processes?
 I updated to RC2 (32bit) and was having the problem, that upgrading PBIs
 took ages because of some kde4init processes. After killing them the
 installation were a thousand times faster.

 Yesterday I also had some issues on a 64bit RC2 saying that some PBIs were
 corrupt. The mirror was ftp.uni-esslingen.de, perhaps a local problem?
