 Thanks for the info! I was able to confirm the problem here, it appears
 that that in virtualbox that controller chipset doesn't associate with the
 cd device properly. I'm unsure if that would effect your real hardware or
 not, can you test and confirm? Also, if it fails, do a listing of /dev/ad*
 and /dev/*cd* do any devices show up?
