 This is the second time it happened: The screen saver (standard
 configuration in a fairly new 8.1 installation) has made the system
 completely unresponsive - neither keyboard nor mouse action could make do
 anything.

 The last entry in the Xorg.log reads
 [mi] EQ overflowing. The server is probably stuck in an infinite loop.

 The complete log is attached (from a Lenovo ThinkPad x60s).
