 Good day,

 Will be good if the pcbsd team release specified builds to intel and amd.
 Using gcc 4.5 (4.6 maybe ?), and optimization flags like -fexcess-
 precision=fast, -mfpmath=sse, -m64 and other options. This builds can be
 made like a test, and see the performance improvments to the user. Other
 thing, is combined with that, some pbis, like gimp, blender, using this
 flags already setup in OS.
