Can you manually remove the /var/tmp/instmp.* directories, and see
if they come back after running those utilities? I've searched the
source of both and cant find any reference to that location. <br>

How are you installing applications?? I'm checking here,
and nowhere in<br>
our code do we use /var/tmp/instmp.* as a temporary
directory. Rather we<br>
use /usr/pbi for extraction / temp data.<br>
