[PC-BSD Testing] unable to ssh in after upgrade from 9.2-RELEASE to 10-RC4

Hi,

This is my first upgrade so apologies if I'm simply mis-reading docs. I've
a remote (hetzner) server, with mfsBSD 9.2 access via ssh as a poor man's
console if ssh fails. Which I'm currently using.

- TrueOS amd64 9.2-RELEASE, installed using mfsBSD & some hackery[1]
- edited /usr/local/share/pcbsd/pc-updatemanager/conf/sysupdate.conf
- upgraded directly to 10-RC4 via pc-updatemanager, which:
- downloaded & unpacked a bunch of stuff (lost terminal history sadly)
- lots of chflags errors at end and then prompted for a reboot to finish
- on reboot, ssh is not accessible, and there appears to be no network
available
(ssh fails with no route to host, ping 100% fails)

I switch over to mfsBSD, import zpool and scrub is clean.

After chrooting to the zpool, adding rc_debug="YES", I got a clean set of
logs from /var/log after the next boot:

debug.log - at least openntpd is working here - why not ssh etc?

messages - weird DHCP-like errrs & an ssh precmd issue:

How should I proceed here?

- is there any info you'd like me to grab? /var/log/messages of before
failed reboot, and a recent reboot, are at [2], and I've a .tar.gz of
/boot, /etc, /root/, var/log as well.
- there's nothing critical on this box, I could reinstall (via mfsBSD again)
- alternatively, I could split the zfs mirror, setup a fresh install, and
do some zfs legwork

A+
Dave
