i don't know if this is somehow related, but installing the samba
package via the same method fails. it shows as being successful, but
samba shows as uninstalled and in fact no packages get installed in
the jail. the operation is almost immediate, so it's obvious there is
no file transfer happening.

where are the logs for warden operations? i haven't found a man page
for warden yet.
