I finally had the time to try and install beta3 on my
Macbook. It errors out with the following pc-sysinstall.log:
kern.geom.debugflags: 0 -> 16
Running gpart modify on /dev/ada0
Running: gpart modify -t freebsd -i 3 /dev/ada0
ada0s3 modified
Cleaning up /dev/ada0s3
Running: dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/ada0s3 count=1024
1024+0 records in
1024+0 records out
524288 bytes transferred in 0.132312 secs (3962511 bytes/sec)
Running: gpart create -s BSD /dev/ada0s3
ada0s3 created
Running: gpart add -s 2048M -t freebsd-ufs -i 1 /dev/ada0s3
ada0s3a added
Running: gpart add -s 4000M -t freebsd-swap -i 2 /dev/ada0s3
ada0s3b added
Running: gpart add -s 2048M -t freebsd-ufs -i 4 /dev/ada0s3
gpart: geom 'ada0s3': Operation not permitted
EXITERROR: Error 1: gpart add -s 2048M -t freebsd-ufs -i 4 /dev/ada0s3
The funny thing is if I ctrl-F2 to a vterm it works on the
command line. And if I reboot and try and install again
it hangs on the same gpart command, but doesn't
throw an error. I also noticed I can't check the following
checkbox [ ] Partition disk with GPT.
Also my Broadcom BCM5764M card doesn't connect:
