[PC-BSD Testing] Can't install vmware tools on PC BSD 9 RC2

Hi I can't seem to install vmware tools on pcbsd 9 rc2 via regular vmware
tools perl script which gets shipped with vmware workstation 8 or even
pkg_add -r open-vm-tools doesn't work even though this works in freebsd8.2.
Any help?
