[PC-BSD Testing] Minor improvements

Worked well for me with radeon x700 for about half of the year. Have been tested for a couple of days with HD3200 and it hasn't caused any issues. I'll google a bit around for other usage exp. Imo, for the RC phase it could be enabled.
