[PC-BSD Testing] PCBSD 8.2-RELEASE-x64 Display Corruption

PCBSD 8.2-RELEASE-x64, nVidia GeForce GT240, 1024 Gb.

I am continuing to have display corruption, especially smaller fonts washing
out, light graphics washing out, and where any part of the display is black
(as is the background for terminal and even certain parts of videos), an
image underlays the black screen. Screen text can overlay the rogue image
but not remove it. A screenshot is attached.

Perhaps these are defects in the nVidia driver that came with PCBSD --
version 260.19.25. However, nVidia has released a new unified driver --
version 260.19.44.
http://www.nvidia.com/object/freebsd-x64-260.19.44-driver.html There is a
corresponding driver for the i386 series.

Nvidia reports the highlight of the update as "Updated the NVIDIA X driver
to not update mode timings for G-Sync compatibility when NVIDIA 3D Vision or
NVIDIA 3D VisionPro isenabled along with a G-Sync device."

With a release date of yesterday (March 7, 2011), it is not yet into ports.
Perhaps as soon as the driver hits ports, an update to PCBSD can be issued
to make the new nVidia driver available.
