I do not know if it is on all the mirrors, and my post is not "official" by
My report was 8.2-RELEASE is out. The "official" FreeBSD announcement is
made three or four days after the build. One of the FreeBSD web pages (the
FreeBSD 8.2 Release Engineering To Do @
http://wiki.freebsd.org/Releng/8.2TODO), updated as of Feb 17, 2011, which
may qualify as "official," said with respect to the release status, only
that "RELEASE is building."
However, I know the RELEASE is out there because here is where I found the
AMD64 -- ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/releases/amd64/ISO-IMAGES/8.2/
i386 -- ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/releases/i386/ISO-IMAGES/8.2/
