[PC-BSD Testing] problems with PCBSD 8.2 crash

After a recent "brown out", my PCBSD ver. 8.2 Workstation would not re-boot.

The error message read:
Trying to mount root from ufs: /dev/label/rootfs0
warning: / was not properly dismounted
g_vfs_clone():label/rootfs0 [READ (offset=771080192,
length=16384)] error=5
/libexec/ld-elf.so.1: Shared Object
"libedit.so.7" not found,required by "sh".

Enter full pathname of shell or RETURN for /bin/sh:

1. Can I simply copy file < libedit.so.7 > from another PCBSD 8.2
computer and input in correct 5 locations on faulty PCBSD?

2. Or can I simply perform an "upgrade" of system with PCBSD 8.2 DVD?
