[PC-BSD Testing] RC2.. can no longer log in

really there are two bugs:

1/ after upgrade my login no longer works. I type the right password, the
screen goes away as if I got it right. I start getting a background screen
(different screen if I try as root) and then there is a flash and I'm
back at the login screen again. Either the X session or the X server
is dying I think.

2/ no matter how many times I disable the firewall on boot, at the
next boot, there it is again...
so I can't ssh into it.

my only option is single user
