What is IIRC?
My interest in this is because I would like to install an SSD but don't
want it to wear out prematurely.

Anyone know if FBSD 9 will have TRIM <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TRIM>
support?
It's in the wishlist: http://wiki.freebsd.org/FreeBSD9
I'm thinking of upgrading my computer to ZFS when PCBSD 9 comes out.
Interesting article about it:

My interest was piqued about all this from this article:

Isn't TRIM specific to SSD only IIRC?
