What is IIRC?

My interest in this is because I would like to install an SSD but don't want it to wear out prematurely.

Anyone know if FBSD 9 will have TRIM support?

It's in the wishlist: http://wiki.freebsd.org/FreeBSD9

I'm thinking of upgrading my computer to ZFS when PCBSD 9 comes out.

Interesting article about it:

My interest was piqued about all this from this article: http://debuggable.com/posts/why-are-you-not-using-a-ssd-yet:4d64ad6f-22d8-4eca-99e8-765acbdd56cb

Isn't TRIM specific to SSD only IIRC?
