[PC-BSD Testing] 7.1 ugly crash

I've been using PCBSD7 latest stable edition with all updates with no problems until today.

I moved the computer to Thailand and plugged it in.  All was fine until the next day when I went to configure the network.  While in the network config dialog, the cursor suddenly froze and the system rebooted with sig faults or other error messages.  But it wouldn't log me in.  I got a KDE manual login screen and in spite of putting in the correct pwd it just kept returning to that screen.  Tried other selections form the menu but same result.

Don't think this has any bearing but just prior to this crash I had a power failure and the system seemed to restart ok after checking the disks and such.

Upon powering down, the screen flashed by with some things like system bus file not found or something like that, and a few other errors like that.

I don't think there was any kind of hardware failure as the box is only a few months old, but this being Thailand, I noticed the box running quite a bit hotter than normal.  I let it cool down and restarted but same same.

Trying to run in safe mode resulted in another error.  I could at least get the video wizard to run, but still couldn't login.

No matter how I try to start KDE it's hosed.  I forgot to bring the CD with the system on it with me, so I guess I'll have to burn it and try to repair, but thought I'd ask here first to see if anyone has any idea what could have gone wrong and what to look for.

I'll go back and write down some of the errors being reported by FBSD if I can.

Tnx, Jeff
