Arthur,

Two unrelated new questions for you:
 
1) Can you use System Settings > date & Time for automatic date and time?  When I try this I get a "can't contact server" sort of message box.  Hence my system time is not to be trusted.
 
2)  Can you Rename links on pcbsd desktop using either F2 or right-click menu?  I can't - the attempt is ignored.

Nope to 1 & 2. These look like they are probably KDE bugs. Might have to wait until 4.1.3 or 4.1.4?
