Dear Brian -- I had a problem opening a file manager as su from the command line. However, by using the <Alt><F2> run command I could kdesu konqueror or kdesu dolphin. Some KDE 4.1 RC1 bug reports indicate that dolphin can crash, but konkeror is doing well. Ian Robinson Salem, Ohio
