Thanks for the reports guys! I'll go ahead and try to duplicate this 
here, with UFS2 + Softupdates. Its probably a bug in our partition 
creation script, and should be easy to fix. I'll see if I can get it 
addressed for this weeks ISO.

For the record, does your install work if you don't choose custom 
partitioning?
