Not that it helps but I have similar issues on 8.0/i386 running through 
a Avocent Switchview MM2.

The problem shows as
ukbd_set_leds_callback:696: error=USB_ERR_STALLED
in the log. The only remedy that works is to connect the mouse and 
keyboard direct to the cpu.
