Those steps look good :)
The kernel configs for i386 7.1.1 and amd64 7.1.1 are both in
/usr/PCBSD/conf on your system, or you can grab them from trac here:
http://trac.pcbsd.org/browser/pcbsd/branches/7.1.1/system-overlay/usr/PCBSD/conf
