Once again, the error is right at the bottom of the build log:
-------------
checking whether the C compiler works...
no
configure: error: in
`/usr/wrkdirprefix/usr/ports/devel/glib20/work/glib-2.34.3':
configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables
See `config.log' for more details
===>  Script "configure" failed unexpectedly.
.....
*** [do-configure] Error code 1
Stop in /usr/ports/devel/glib20.
-------------

Since it is saying that the C compiler is not working (cannot create
executables), you might want to try manually building the gcc port
before the main libprintf port (Make Port Before option). That should
ensure that you have a working C compiler in the build environment. You
also might want to ping the port maintainer about this because it might
mean that there is something wrong with the selected compiler in the port.

BTW: Why would you want to build just a library as a PBI? PBI are
designed to be self-contained, and not interact with the system or other
PBI's, so I think it will just be a bit of a waste unless you are adding
a specific program executable to be included in the PBI as well.
