That is correct, it does clean itself inbetween builds, however the
files in /usr/ports/distfiles
are kept between builds to keep re-downloading at a minimum.

Since preportmake.sh is just a script, it could be easy to just modify
it to put javapack.tbz
into /usr/ports/distfiles, and if its not there, re-fetch it. The only
downside to this is that occasionally we re-roll the javapack.tbz with
new files when the ports get updated, and you
may end up with a out-of-date file in distfiles/. Maybe a check can be
put in place, using "fetch -s" to see the remote size of javapack.tbz,
and if it differs from your local copy, re-fetch it :)

I may do some testing with this later on, and if I get a fix I'll send
it up to SVN.
