PC-BSD 7.1, KDE4.

System volume on 100%. Then I'll run XMMS 1.2.11 installed from ports where
I'll set volume to 10%. I'll close it afterwards.

KDE volume indicator shows still 100%, volume in amarok or kaffeine or any
other media player is set to 100% as well but real noise level is only 10%
set in xmms. When I'll start XMMS again and set volume to 100% and close it,
everything is fine again.

I have souncard integrated on MB Asus K8V-X SE.

I'm using FreeBSD audio driver (newpcm: 32bit 2007061600/i386)
Installed devices:
pcm0: <VIA VT8237. at io 0xb400 irq 22 kld snd_via8233 [MPSAFE](5p:4v/1r:4v
channels duplex default)
