Hey Kris!

I used the KIconLoader to do the loading stuff. I had all of the icons 
in the default icon directory 
/usr/local/share/icons/kde.default/apps/22x22 and it worked fine for me. 
Though I am quite amazed that KIconLoader does not seem to be able to 
load them from the current directory...
